This class is free, but registration is required.

Are you ready to embark on a creative journey into the world of quilting? Join our Intro to Quilting Workshop and discover the joy of crafting beautiful, handmade quilts! 

What You'll Learn:

  • Basic Sewing Techniques: Get comfortable with your sewing machine and learn essential stitches.
  • Fabric Selection: Understand how to choose the right fabrics and colors for your quilt.
  • Cutting and Piecing: Master the art of cutting fabric accurately using a rotary cutter, then sewing your pieces together to make a beautiful quilt.
  • Quilt Assembly: Learn how to assemble your quilt top, add batting, and create a quilt sandwich.

Workshop Details

  • Duration: Two 2hr workshops
  • Materials: All fabric will be provided for this class. However, if you want to purchase your own fabrics, you will need 4 fat quarters(18X22 in.) and 1 yard of fabric for the back.
  • Sewing Machines:  If you have your own machine, we request that you bring it, as we have a limited number of machines here at the library.
