Join us for an evening with author Michelle Cowan-Schroeder as she discusses her touching book, Better Not Bitter. In this deeply moving memoir, Michelle shares her journey of navigating life after the sudden loss of her husband, Joe, in a tragic accident. Left to care for her grieving teenage daughter, Michelle faced the harsh realities of a political system and an industry fraught with challenges, while also discovering unexpected kindness and support from others.

Better Not Bitter takes readers through a powerful narrative of love and loss, power and influence, courage and honor, and ultimately, the path to healing and restoration. Michelle’s story is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring power of love.

About the Author: In 2009, Michelle Cowan was living her dream life with her husband Joe and daughter AJ. Working as a nurse case manager while Joe was an accountant for the State of Nebraska, their lives were upended when Joe was killed by a drunk driver. Michelle’s journey through grief, law enforcement issues, politics, and healing are a testament to her strength and the unbreakable bond of love that transcends even death.

Don’t miss this opportunity to hear Michelle’s inspiring story and gain insights into her remarkable journey. Whether you attend in person or join us online, this event promises to be an evening of reflection, hope, and community.
